Lakeside Partners Advises Cyclone on its sale TO a LEADING Renewable investment platform
Lakeside Partners is pleased to announce that it served as the financial advisor to Hardin Hilltop and Crosswinds (collectively, “Cyclone”) on the sale of their operating wind power assets to an international renewable energy investor.
Commissioned in 2005, Cyclone comprises two utility-scale wind generation assets located in northern Iowa, totaling more than 35 MW of installed capacity. As the assets approached their next stage of operational life, the ownership group sought to partner with a long-term, renewables-focused investor. The transaction enables continued stability for the projects while providing liquidity and alignment for stakeholders.
Lakeside was engaged to evaluate financial sponsors and strategic acquirers. Lakeside led a targeted outreach process that generated strong interest from qualified strategic and financial buyers. Following a competitive evaluation, the ownership group selected a leading renewable energy and infrastructure firm based on its operating expertise, long-term investment approach, and attractive transaction structure.
